Championing the Rights of Workers in California

David Lee, the founder of David Lee Law, APC, is a renowned Los Angeles employment attorney dedicated to fighting for the rights of workers across California. His journey in the legal realm began in a small firm in Southern California, advocating for small businesses. However, David's deep-rooted desire to stand up for the "little guy" led him to pivot his career towards employment law, establishing his own practice in Los Angeles in 2016.

As an employment attorney in Los Angeles, David specializes in representing individuals in single plaintiff cases against major corporations. He skillfully handles cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination (including race, age, gender, pregnancy, disability, religion), sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, and unpaid wages. While adept in PAGA and class action lawsuits alongside his team, David finds his true calling in championing individual clients' rights in Los Angeles and beyond.

David's educational background includes a Psychology degree from UCLA and a law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. His active participation in mock trials and ADR competitions has shaped his approach as a Los Angeles employment lawyer. As a dedicated member of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), he is admitted to practice in all California courts.

In 2023 and 2024, David's expertise as a Los Angeles employment attorney was recognized by his peers when he was named a Southern California Super Lawyer and Rising Star.

Originally from Seoul, Korea, David's family immigrated to Los Angeles when he was six, eventually settling in San Francisco. His upbringing in a humble, hardworking family deeply sensitized him to issues of social injustice and discrimination, fueling his passion as an employment lawyer in Los Angeles. His mother, a source of relentless inspiration, instilled in him the values of hard work and optimism. David credits her for his successful career as a Los Angeles employment attorney, living out the dream she enabled.

In 2023, David had to take time off work to take care of his family and thus understands the importance of the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and he’s had a personal connection with his clients that are experiencing CFRA discrimination or retaliation at the workplace.

David has lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years and he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and Maltese. David’s wife is a wedding florist and he also enjoys assisting her at various events.
